Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on assessing and improving the flow of cerebrospinal fluid within the craniosacral system—comprised of the skull, spine, and sacrum. CST is based on the principle that subtle rhythmic movements in this system can be palpated and influenced to enhance the body's natural healing processes.
With light touch (usually no more than 5 grams of pressure) the practitioner can detect and release restrictions in the craniosacral system. By gently facilitating the release of tension in the connective tissues (fascia) and optimizing cerebrospinal fluid flow, CST encourages deep relaxation and nervous system balance.
Because it works on such a deep and subtle level, CST is often favored by those seeking a holistic approach to healing—particularly when conventional treatments have not provided relief.
Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy
Nervous System Regulation – Helps shift the body out of fight-or-flight mode into a parasympathetic state, promoting relaxation and emotional balance.
Relief from Chronic Pain – Alleviates headaches, migraines, TMJ dysfunction, and neck or back pain by addressing tension patterns in the fascia and central nervous system.
Enhanced Mental Clarity & Emotional Well-being – Supports trauma release, reduces anxiety and depression, and fosters a deep sense of inner calm.
Improved Sleep & Stress Reduction – Encourages better sleep patterns by calming the overactive nervous system.
Supports Recovery from Injuries & Concussions – Aids in the healing process by improving circulation and reducing tension in the brain and spinal cord.
Enhances Overall Energy Flow & Awareness – Some individuals report heightened body awareness and a sense of expanded consciousness, as CST helps clear restrictions in subtle energy pathways.
